A Comparison of Three Contrasting Views

Chapter 20

Christ’s Nature

a. Christ's flesh and nature were different from ours--He was exempt from "original sin."

b. Most of our writers and theologians now teach that Christ took the sinless nature of Adam before the Fall. Thus He had "holy flesh."

c. Christ "took" the sinful nature of man after the Fall. Thus He was sent "in the likeness of sinful flesh." He was "exempt" from nothing, but chose not to sin. Both Substitute and Exemplar.
