Gleanings from the Psalms

Chapter 143

Psalm 94: Kept from Falling

"When I said, My foot slips; your mercy, O Lord, held me up." (Psalm 94:18)

There is therefore no need for anybody utterly to fall. In the very time when we feel as though everything were giving way, we may know that: "[God] is able to keep us from falling, and that He will do it, because: "[He] raises up all that be bowed down." (Psalm 145:14) "The Lord is ... a very present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1)

So that any difficulty that we got into should simply serve as a reminder to us of the presence of the Lord.--Present Truth, December 13, 1900--Original title: Back Page--Psalm 94:18.
